Choice Recovery Services is a certified outpatient substance use disorder treatment program dedicated to supporting individuals affected by substance use disorders (SUD). Our mission is to aid in the recovery process by offering a comprehensive range of services tailored to the unique needs of each person.
At Choice Recovery Services, we utilize evidence-based practices throughout all our services. Our primary commitment to the community is fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and utilizing a strength-based approach with individuals impacted by substance use disorders, empowering them on their path to recovery.
We are proud members of the Recovery Coalition of the Ozarks (RCO) . The RCO operates under the overall branch of the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers (MCRSP) , a unified network dedicated to restoring and rebuilding lives through quality recovery support.

Executive Director & Counselor
BS, CRADC, CPS
Derrick serves as the executive director of Choice Recovery Services and is one of our counselors. Derrick has 17 years of experience in the substance use disorder field. He is experienced in providing services in individual counseling, group counseling, group education, leadership development, program development and various other services related to the field of recovery. Derrick has worked in various treatment settings; he spent eleven years providing services to juveniles and their families in a residential setting. The last several years he has been providing outpatient substance use disorder treatment services to adult men and women. Derrick has strong passion to collaborate with the community and help individuals with their recovery.
Counselor
MS, CRADC, CGDC, MARS, HRS, RPSS, CCRPR, FSP, YPS, PPF, CRP
Mark is a counselor for Choice Recovery Services. He is also the owner and director of Professional Development and Consulting. Mark has more than 38 years of experience in substance use disorder and mental health services including counseling programs, leadership, and collaboration with treatment courts. He serves as a consultant, trainer and supervisor across multiple organizations contributing to workforce development through partnership with the Missouri Credentialing Board, the Opioid Response Network and National Training Institute. Mark is passionate about strengthening professional readiness, clinical supervision, and recovery-oriented systems that support long term growth for providers and the people they serve.
Diagnostician
LCSW, CPS, HRS
David serves as the Diagnostician for Choice Recovery Services. He brings 18 years of clinical experience spending time in treatment courts, residential programs, and leadership roles. He has a behavioral health background including eight and a half years counseling, participating in multiple treatment court settings and serving as a clinical director responsible for supervising providers and ensuring high quality evidence-based care. In 2018 he was honored as a Springfield business journalist top therapist reflecting commitment to exponential client care and professional excellence.
Certified Peer Services Provider
CPS, CRP
Angie is a Certified Peer Services provider for Choice Recovery Services. Angie has been in peer services for 4.5 years. Angie has been working as a peer specialist in Veterans courts and Drug courts. Angie is passionate about providing peer services to others in recovery helping them overcome their addiction by being a light of inspiration, as someone in long-term recovery.
